Title: The Sea of Monsters
Author: Rick Riordan
Stars: 4 out of 5
"The Sea of Monsters" is a fun story about Percy, a son of Poseidon, who has to rescue his friend Grover and the Golden Fleece, a special gold wool with healing powers, from a Cyclopes so that he can save a camp that's full of the children of Greek gods. It's a very compelling story that's loosely based around Greek mythology that will sweep you right into the action and tickle your funny bone. Any reader who likes fantasy should give it a try.

Title: The Tale of Despereaux
Author: Kate DiCamillo
Stars: 4.5 out of 5
I loved how there was a chapter about one character, and then another. I would recommend this book to boys and girls 12 or a bit older who like the basic fairytale with a cool twist!

Movie Review
Title: Nacho Libre
Stars: 3.5 out of 5
Nacho Libre was a funny movie about a man named Ignacio who was made to work as a monastery cook, although he wanted to do wrestling. He soon gets that dream when he meets Esqueleto and they become a team. Though this movie is great and funny there was a downfall when some scenes went too far. I found this when Ignacio and Equeleto were confronted by 2 gang members and Esqueleto threw a corn in one of their eyes.

Movie Review
Title: Beaches
Stars: 4.5 out of 5
“Beaches” was a movie with heart and soul. It was a film with a dedicated hour of an honest friendship. C.C. and Hilary portrayed the growth and tears that play into a love and hate friendship that in the end, tests the core of a person. Often times in a friendship, people grow apart, but C.C. and Hilary are able to grasp a willingness to heave through the many obstacles they face. With those many obstacles they are always able to retreat back to each other where they are comforted into understanding that no matter the deal, their other half will always be there. When all good things come to an end and Hilary dies, the better in the bad is found and wraps this movie up. The actors pulled through with an amazing performance. This is a classic film with a classic tale of friendship.

The movie Ghostbusters was really funny. I really liked the characters. and the ghosts. The ending was really good and the movie had a little bit of everything: romance, comedy, mystery, action, and friendship.

CD Review
Album Title: Tommy Land: The Ride
Artist: Tommy Lee
Stars: 4 out of 5
This CD was mainly about Tommy Lee's love life and how hard it is to be famous but still live a normal life without getting asked for a photograph to be signed by millions of people no matter where you are or who you are with. Overall I found this a really interesting CD and I really enjoyed listening to it.
